This blog is dedicated to one of the most (if not the most) beautiful places on the Earth.
For the record I am not Finnish, I am Canadian. I just really love Finland! Feel free to submit random facts you find interesting in, or ask a question I don't mind =^-^=
Anonymous asked: I don't think that you can ski year around in Finland.
I’ve answered this issue before. I live in Canada and we’re able to ski year around the reason I found that one believable is because we’re able to here and we’re far more south than Finland. I also believe I found that fact on a travel site.
veekayyelle asked: Nice blog!! I am actually half Finnish and half Canadian. Where from Canada are you from?
Why thank you! I was born in Alberta but I live in British Columbia now. Where are you from?
Anonymous asked: I just wanted to let you know that Donald Duck has never been banned in Finland (it is only an urban legend), Finland wasn't the first nation to have a woman leader (in Europe it was Iceland), Finland has been independent since 1917 and there isn't snow round the year.
I would like to first say as it says on ym banner I am not Finnish and have never been to Finland. I have heard and seen many mixed things on the DD thing and to my knowledge it was banned for 3 years in the 70s i believe. I have seen many times on many different sites the Woman leader thing. and the independance I believe refers to when the winter war began which was Finland fighting for their independence. and Snow year around was something I had found on a tourist website and i didnt say snow year around i had said skiing was able year around, which I know it is in places in Canada so it would make sense as well their are some snow topped mountains in Finland year around. That’s all. don’t mean to offend but I’ll start posting sources if you all like.
